For a Good Time on East Ave
Come to Salinger's
Salinger's is proud to be one of the original bars on East Avenue in the cultural district of Rochester, NY. There's a reason we're still standing after all these years while other bars have closed or had to transform themselves trying to fit into the latest trends.
Salinger's was opened in 1996 by Jimmy Panzarella & eventually purchased by Ronnie Pellegrino, Bobby Pellegrino Jr. & longtime Salinger's Bartender/Manager, Dennis Sutton in 2013. The guys made it a point to continue to provide the same no fuss dive bar experience that Rochester had come to know Salinger's for. We're the bar where you can enjoy a good beer, throw your peanut shells on the ground & have a great conversation with our bartenders.
With a wide range of craft beers, local brews, cocktails & a no-nonsense attitude, Salinger's is the bar patrons have trusted for a relaxing night out for 20 years. Centrally located on East Avenue, we are a prime spot for many of the festivals & celebrations that take place in Rochester, including the St. Patty's Day Parade, the Fringe Festival & the International Jazz Festival.
So, if you're looking for a great happy hour spot after work, a good bar to end your Saturday night at, or a place to try local beers without breaking the bank; stop by Salinger's on East Avenue. We're kind of like Cheers... but we can't promise we'll remember your name.
